This editorial is about a law that restricts Virginians from carrying concealed weapons in places that serve alcohol. The Virginia house of delegates voted to overturn this restriction by a large majority but governor Mcdonnell has to sign this in order for it to be overturned. The author of this goes on to argue that people carrying these guns are people with permits which means that they are law abiding citizens that ttherefore have the right to protect themselves even if alcohol is involved.
I agree with the author on this issue and think that this restriction should be repealed. Although it does make logical sense that a person under the influence could be more dangerous with a weapon that doesn't neccesarily mean that they should ban guns in saloons. In my opinion there is simply just not enough evidence to support that this restriction on gun carrying is a good idea.
